Local sources claim that the unidentifiable body of an unidentified man was found in the Faryab province of northern Afghanistan, not far from the Turkmenistan border.
A dead body was found in the Topkhana plains of Qarghana district in Faryab, a province in the north of Afghanistan.
The Taliban government forces allegedly discovered the body, in preliminary stages of decomposition, yesterday, Monday, June 4th, buried under the sand.
According to the sources, no trace or evidence from the body has been discovered that would allow for identification.
While this unfolds, the Taliban militants and Turkmen border guards engaged in a clash on the border between the two countries almost a month ago.
In another event that happened at the same time, a shepherd was killed in the Faryab province’s Almar district after tumbling off a mountain.
According to the sources, the shepherd’s name was Shira Agha. He died after falling from a cliff near Almar district’s Hotak village.
