Unknown gunmen, according to local sources in Farah province in western Afghanistan, killed the head of a charity organization called Abrar.
The victim was identified as Nasrullah and was from the province of Kandahar, according to the sources.
While a source from the victim’s native province of Kandahar in southern Afghanistan said that Nasrullah was murdered on Tuesday night, July 19, at his workplace, sources from the province of Farah assert that the man was killed at his residence in the 2nd district of Farah.
The chairman of the charitable organization’s death was confirmed by security personnel at the Farah provincial police office, but no other information regarding the incident was given.
The details on the murder or the motive that drove the gunmen to kill the man still remains unknown.
Since the Taliban seized power, reports of people being mysteriously killed by armed persons and groups have significantly increased.
On the other hand, the Taliban contend that since they came to power, Afghanistan’s security has been strengthened and deny that there has been an increase in unrest in Afghanistan.
